Captain Craig Burry has held his license for over 15 years and has taught both sail and power boating lessons. He has served as the Commander for Saugatuck Sail and Power Squadron for the last twenty years. Captain Burry will take you through the basics to feel secure and solid in owning and operating a boat on the high seas. He has surveyed vessels for insurance companies, boat dealers and boat owners. He has rebuilt hulls, decks and bow structures. Captain Burry has references from individual boat owners and the Westport Marine Police.
Experience: Worked as a Launch Operator / Manager at past Yacht Clubs. Duties included: Cleaning, inspection preparation, upkeep and repair of launches, mooring and other facilities (tennis, pool, club house and grounds.)
Vessels: 26′ – 29′ Old Port, Hinkley, Dwyer single screw tiller / wheel
Yacht Clubs: Black Rock, Old Greenwich, Larchmont, Indian Harbor
Master: 100 ton Inland with Assistance Towing, Sail Endorsements single / twin screw recreational power boats with handling skils, teaching and delivery.
